A recent study by Dr. Aric Sigman, a Fellow of the UK Royal Society of Medicine found that by the age of seven the average child will have spent a full year of 24-hour days watching recreational screen media. And over the course of their childhood, children spend more time watching TV than they spend in school.

A recent study by Iowa State University (ISU), and published in JAMA Pediatrics, found that children behave better, do better in school, get more sleep, and see other health benefits when parents limit content and the amount of time they spend on the computer, in front of the TV, or other connected devices.

In my last Digital Loitering blog post I revealed my biased towards the act of playing a video game over the act of play a musical instrument.
